Reconciling PSP deposits with MetaTrader 5, ticket by ticket

A deposit lives in three places: the payment provider, the trading server and your ledger. Here is how to keep all three in agreement without a monthly spreadsheet.

When a client deposits through a payment provider, the money is recorded three times: by the payment provider, by the trading server as a balance deal, and by your ledger. Reconciliation is the work of proving those three records describe the same event.

The cheapest reconciliation is the one you never have to do by hand. When a deposit is credited, store the provider's transaction reference, the server's deal ticket and the ledger entry together. Every later question ("did this client's deposit arrive?") becomes a lookup.

Credit once, from a confirmed event

Credit the trading account only when the provider confirms the payment, and record that confirmation once. For crypto, that means waiting for the provider's confirmation of the on-chain transaction, then freezing the record so it can't be credited again.

Match the server daily

Re-read each ended day from the trading server and match every balance deal to a ledger entry by ticket. Anything on the server that the ledger doesn't know about (a manual adjustment in the platform's own manager, for example) shows up the next morning, not at month end.

Separate demo from live

Demo accounts on the same server create deals too. Keep them out of the ledger, first-deposit dates and totals entirely, or every report will need a footnote.

A daily routine that takes minutes

  1. Review the items yesterday's reconciliation couldn't match.
  2. Check deposits still waiting for provider confirmation.
  3. Confirm the bridge to each server was up all day.

When the records are linked at the moment of credit, this routine takes minutes, and month end becomes a formality.
